People & Culture Advisor

We are delighted to be recruiting a People & Culture Advisor for a growing, people-focused organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative People team where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support across the business and helping to embed a positive colleague experience.

Working closely with the People & Culture Lead, this role provides day-to-day HR support to managers and colleagues, ensuring practical, timely and consistent advice across a range of operational HR matters. You will contribute to the smooth running of the People function while supporting a values-led and engaging workplace culture.

The Opportunity

This is a varied and hands-on role within a busy People team, offering exposure across the full employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing low to mid-complexity employee relations cases including sickness, conduct, probation and performance
  • Supporting investigations and hearings through documentation, note-taking and guidance
  • Escalating complex or high-risk cases to the People & Culture Lead as required
  • Providing clear and consistent application of HR policies and procedures
  • Coordinating recruitment activity including advertising, shortlisting and interview scheduling
  • Supporting managers through selection processes and ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Preparing contracts, offers and onboarding documentation via HR systems
  • Maintaining accurate employee data and records within BambooHR
  • Producing HR reports including absence, turnover and other key metrics
  • Supporting the full employee lifecycle including changes, leavers and probation reviews
  • Providing day-to-day advice to managers and colleagues on HR policies and best practice
  • Supporting engagement, wellbeing and values-led initiatives across the business
  • Coordinating learning and development activity, including training logistics and records
  • Working collaboratively within the People team to ensure consistent service delivery

About You

We are keen to speak with HR professionals who are proactive, organised and passionate about delivering a great colleague experience. You will be confident handling routine HR matters and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within an operational or multi-site environment
  • Confidence managing routine employee relations cases independently
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and basic UK employment law
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience using HR systems (BambooHR desirable)
  • CIPD Level 3 (minimum) or working towards Level 5
  • A positive, values-led approach with a strong focus on colleague experience

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their HR career within a supportive and collaborative People team.
