About the Role
We’re looking for a commercially minded and people-focused Human Resources Business Partner to join the People team. This is a key role where you’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, aligning people strategies with business objectives and helping to drive performance, engagement, and organisational success.
Operating in a regulated environment, you’ll balance strategic influence with hands-on delivery—supporting leaders through change, managing complex employee relations matters, and championing a high-performing, inclusive culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to develop and deliver HR strategies aligned to business goals
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on people-related matters
- Drive engagement, performance, and organisational effectiveness across your business areas
- Lead and manage complex employee relations cases with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Support organisational design, restructuring, and change initiatives
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an inclusive workplace culture
- Collaborate with Learning & Development and Talent teams to support capability building and succession planning
- Use data and insights to identify trends and inform decision-making
- Lead on the development and review of HR policies and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with union representatives where applicable
- Support performance management, goal setting, and annual review processes
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and action planning
- Promote a strong risk and compliance culture across the organisation
About You
- CIPD Level 5 (or above) qualified
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, operating as a Business Partner
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience working in a regulated environment (financial services preferred)
- Commercially aware, with the ability to translate business needs into people solutions
- Confident managing complex employee relations and organisational change
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Data-driven, with the ability to generate insights and drive action
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
You’ll be part of a forward-thinking organisation that values collaboration, integrity, and inclusion. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the people agenda and making a real impact across the business.
If you’re an experienced HR professional who thrives on building relationships, influencing outcomes, and driving meaningful change—we’d love to hear from you.
