We are delighted to be recruiting a commercially focused and values-led Head of People & Culture to join a growing business during an exciting period of transformation and expansion.
This is a key strategic appointment, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to shape and deliver the People Strategy over the coming years. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building a modern, scalable and high-performing People & Culture function that supports the organisation’s long-term vision, operational growth and evolving workforce needs.
The role will lead the transformation of the people agenda across the business, driving organisational design, workforce planning, leadership capability, culture development and HR governance across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the delivery and continuous development of the People Strategy and operational people plans
- Acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team on all people, culture and workforce matters
- Developing scalable recruitment and workforce planning strategies to support business growth and mobilisation
- Driving organisational design initiatives to ensure structures and capabilities support future growth
- Embedding a high-performance, values-led culture across the organisation
- Designing and implementing leadership development, engagement and succession planning initiatives
- Supporting managers with employee relations, performance and capability matters
- Leading HR governance, policy development and employment law compliance
- Enhancing HR systems, reporting and analytics to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency
- Building a professional, insight-driven People & Culture function aligned to business objectives
About You
We are keen to speak with experienced senior HR leaders who thrive in fast-paced and operationally complex environments. You will bring a strong combination of strategic capability, commercial awareness and hands-on leadership experience.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Significant senior HR leadership experience, ideally within construction, social housing or similarly operational environments
- Proven expertise in organisational design, workforce planning and recruitment strategy
- Strong experience in culture transformation, leadership development and employee engagement
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR governance
- Experience driving HR systems optimisation, reporting and digital transformation
- The ability to influence and build credibility with senior leaders and operational teams
- A collaborative and pragmatic leadership style with a strong people focus
- CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent experience
