HR Business Partner – 3 Month FTC

We are seeking an experienced and pragmatic HRBP to work closely with our CEO during a significant period of organisational transformation.

This is a hands-on role requiring an experienced HR and organisational change professional who can lead and support the people aspects of a business restructure. You will provide expert guidance throughout the consultation process, ensuring legal compliance, clear communication, and a people-focused approach while helping to build a sustainable organisational structure for the future.

Key Responsibilities

Working alongside the CEO and senior leadership team, you will:

  • Support the design and delivery of an organisational restructure.
  • Develop and implement organisational and people mapping.
  • Create skills, capability and selection matrices to inform restructuring decisions.
  • Draft consultation documentation, communications and manager scripts.
  • Lead and support individual and collective consultation processes.
  • Provide expert advice on redundancy processes and employment legislation.
  • Identify opportunities for redeployment wherever possible.
  • Redefine roles and support the development of revised job descriptions.
  • Conduct training needs analysis to identify capability gaps following the restructure.
  • Recommend and support implementation of development plans to underpin long-term organisational success.
  • Coach and support managers through difficult conversations and organisational change.
  • Ensure all activities are delivered fairly, consistently and in line with employment law and best practice.

About You

You will be an experienced HR professional with a proven track record of delivering complex organisational change programmes.

You’ll bring:

  • Significant experience managing organisational restructures and change programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law relating to consultation, redundancy and redeployment.
  • Experience developing organisational structures, skills matrices and selection criteria.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including drafting consultation materials and scripts.
  • The confidence to advise senior leaders and challenge constructively where appropriate.
  • Experience conducting training needs analysis and supporting workforce development.
  • CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification (or equivalent experience) is desirable.

What We Offer

  • Salary of £46,000–£47,000 per annum (pro rata).
  • Hybrid working with a primary base in Newcastle upon Tyne.
